Quakers won their first corner on 11 minutes off another long clearance by Taylor, but Ben Liddle’s inswinger was stopped at the near post

Leamington launched a couple of attacks, but the Quakers defence coped quite easily with them.

The game became quite scrappy after that, with both defences on top. Hulbert got away in the penalty area on the right and set up Dan Turner, but his effort was smothered by the Darlington defence.

Quakers got a penalty on 35 minutes. Hazel headed a long clearance from Taylor on for Felix to chase, and he was brought down on the edge of the box by keeper Tedd Cann. The referee awarded a penalty, Hazel took it, but Cann going to his left, managed to put up his trailing foot and deflect the ball away.

Leamington had a free kick outside the box on 42 minutes, but Kelly-Evans’ free kick came back off the Darlington wall, then they had another a minute later which Taylor fisted away.

Leamington got a free kick 30 yards out on 48 minutes,  but Liam Cross drove the ball into the Darlington wall.

Quakers responded with a break which ended with Felix being penalised.

Moke found Felix with a good ball down the right, Felix got the bye line but his pull back was intercepted by Cann.

Quakers introduced Theo Williams for Ben Liddle on 58 minutes, and his introduction brought more pace and energy into the Darlington attack.

Leamington had a half chance when Turner played a 1-2, but Taylor saved his weak shot.

Quakers won a corner on 62 minutes following a good run by Felix and deflected shot by Lambert. Felix and Hazel had shots charged down, and Quakers had handball appeals turned away.

They won another corner on 67 minutes which was taken by Lambert and flicked over the top by Hazel.

Leamington had an escape on 68 minutes, when after a period of pressure, Hazel had a shot blocked, then Lambert had a follow up cleared off the line.

Another chance came when Newall set up Niall Brookwell, who had a right foot shot saved at full stretch by Cann.

Quakers took the lead on 72 minutes when Lambert crossed deep to the far post, where Felix headed the ball back for Hazel to find the top corner with a superb acrobatic volley for his 18th goal of the season.

Quakers had a chance when a defender was dispossessed in his box, and Purver almost broke through but his effort was blocked.

Quakers put Jake Lawlor on for Jack Lambert, who was struggling with a knee injury, with eight minutes left.

But Leamington levelled on 83 minutes when a free kick by Kelly-Evans was headed in off the post by sub Kelsey Mooney.

Quakers had penalty appeals turned down when Hazel seemed to be bundled over as he waited for the ball to drop, but the referee penalised him instead.
