Matchday Admission Consultation

Owners' views sought

Today marks an important milestone in the history of Darlington FC as a fan-owned Club. We're asking the fan owners of DFC to guide us on a proposal to increase the "on the day" matchday admission for two of our key pricing categories - Adult and Concession. Adult tickets are applicable to those aged 25-64 whilst concession prices are Young Adults aged 18-24, Seniors aged 65+, Students and Registered Disabled.

Under the engagement framework agreed with DFC and the main shareholders DFCSG, any proposed changes to the matchday admission prices are raised by the DFC board to the DFCSG board who are then responsible for accepting or rejecting the proposal.

It won't have escaped anyone's attention that we're going through some tough economic times at the moment, the football club also being impacted by a rise in cost of goods and services. It is with this in mind that the DFCSG have, on this occasion, decided to put this price increase out to further consultation to our fan owners to really understand the impact it will have on you as an individual and your fellow fans.

An internal bench marking exercise has revealed that we sit firmly mid-table in the "on the day" matchday admission league when compared to other NLN clubs as at the end of the 2021/22 season. Prices have remained static since the beginning of the 2017/18 season as we strive to make football affordable for all - you'll have seen recently that we've slightly reduced the price of season tickets on a per game basis and we're fully committed to rewarding those fans who take advantage of one of our many ticketing schemes which provide extra value for money in purchasing tickets in bulk - namely the Flexi Ticket, Pay Monthly and Season Ticket schemes. An increase in "on the day" pricing would give greater opportunity for additional discounting on these schemes.

The proposal is to raise the Adult and Concession prices by £1 for the 2022/23 season for those buying a single "on the day" match ticket. Based on projections this is anticipated to deliver an extra £11,800 revenue over the course of the 2022/23 season, all of which would be used to support the running costs of the Club.

We're really keen to not just record your preference but also understand your rationale which we'll then analyse based on demographic to give us greater insight. Please complete the form below with your guidance against the two proposals - raising the Adult price by £1 and raised the Concession price by £1.

The consultation is open to all DFCSG owners and will close at 7pm on Sunday, July 10th. To submit your views please log into your YourClub account and go to: https://yourclub.darlingtonfc.co.uk/matchday-admission-consultation
