Matchday Media Plan 2025/26

A look at our new media plan for matchdays

In readiness for the start of the exciting new season on Saturday, the matchday media team have outlined their plans for the coming season, along with information about some exciting updates and new features to look out for!

Over the summer, we have reviewed feedback and analysed viewing trends to ensure we can better serve fans. Our aim is to produce entertaining and engaging content, bringing all the action, reaction and other exciting matchday content to supporters around the world.

In a change for the new season, we will now produce a condensed version of match highlights, which will still include all goals and key action from games, but with the benefit that fans won't have to wait as long to relive the action. Our analysis suggested viewers of full highlights on a Sunday/Monday were limited, and we want to produce a more timely highlights package available to fans sooner after a game. We believe this gives us the opportunity to produce more valuable content that could be the quickest and best in the league!

Below is a teaser of what to expect this season, as we build and expand across our social media channels. Please bear in mind, though, that all content is produced by our volunteer media team, who will endeavour to bring you the matchday content below, but this will always be subject to change depending on the availability of volunteers.

Home Matches:

  • Live match updates by Ray Simpson on the club's official website, along with social media updates by Luke Fawcett and Paul Moss.

  • Full match commentary from Darlo Fans Radio. Stuart Armstrong and Michael Price bring you all the action live as it happens via the club's Mixlr channel. Available via the Official Darlington FC app and Mixlr via this link

  • Match action including goals and key highlights, filmed by Andy Walker and produced by Keith Lowis. Available via the club's YouTube channel at 7:00 pm on a Saturday evening (8:00 am the morning after a midweek match). Don't miss any of the action by subscribing for free to the club's YouTube channel here

  • Manager/assistant manager post-match reaction and player of the match interviews, hosted by Ray Simpson, will be available after every game.

  • Darlo Fans Radio post-match debrief video. Full-time reaction and discussion from Stuart Armstrong and Michael Price, plus interviews with players as they emerge from the dressing room.

  • We intend to bring more matchday-related content on our social media channels on a matchday weekend, with content brought to you by Max O’Hara, Harvey Richards, Jack Lowis, Paul Moss and Jade White.

  • Our official club photographers, Tim Hickman, Andy Futers and Kim Hollins, will be capturing the match day atmosphere and bringing you exclusive match action.

Away Matches:

  • Max O’Hara and Harvey Richards will be bringing you full match commentary, plus post-match interviews and analysis on Darlo Fans Radio.

  • A reduced package that will only include the goals from away games. This is due to limitations at some grounds, such as mobile signal strength, allocated camera positions and volunteer availability.
