Meet our new physio: Nathan Liddle

Takes over from Danny O'Connor

We would like to announce that Nathan Liddle will be taking over as club physiotherapist from Danny O'Connor after Saturday's home game against Scarborough.

Nathan joins the club with a wealth of experience in football at all levels. He worked with Middlesbrough FC for eight years, working with every age group from the academy to the first team. He has also had spells at West Auckland Town in the Northern League and a couple of short spells at Darlington FC previously.

Nathan also has experience of working with elite level athletes in other sports including boxing, gymnastics, running, and rowing.
He has also worked at the London 2012 Olympics, the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth games and the 2023 London Marathon.

Nathan holds a BSc (hons) degree in Sports Therapy, an MSc in Physiotherapy, and is currently studying a part-time PhD exploring injury prevention. Nathan will be combining his role at Darlington FC with his full-time role as a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at Teesside University.
We'd like to welcome Nathan to the club, and wish him all the best in his new role.
