Merry Christmas from our Women's and Girls' teams

A year of progress

We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas from us all at Darlington FC Women and Girls Football.

We would like to thank everyone for your support in our first year since forming as a team. Although, 2021 has been a difficult year for many, for us it will be looked back on as the year that Darlington FC formed their senior women’s side.

We have had a good start in our first season, ending the year still unbeaten in the league, winning five games and drawing three. As well as a good FA Cup run, beating Chester Le Street Amazons and Hartlepool Pools Youth Ladies, before falling to defeat against Farsley Celtic FC in the Third Round Qualifying.

It has been a good experience so far for all the squad, and we can’t wait to get back to it in 2022, picking up where we left off in the league.

We would also like to highlight just how well our five girls' teams are doing this season. Our newly formed U10s are smashing it in their league, going from strength to strength. The U11s are continuing their outstanding form from the past two seasons, whereas our U13 Quakers and Feethams are both having another great season and our U16 girls are playing some good football, with some of them knocking on the door of the senior women’s side when they turn 16.

We would like to once again thank all our players, sponsors, coaches, volunteers, parents and fans.

We hope you all have the best Christmas, best wishes to all .
