Darlington manager Martin Gray was pleased most of all with a clean sheet from the away win at Hales...
Quakers won 3-0 to record their second clean sheet of the season – the first was against Frickley on August 18th – to help them climb into second place, a point behind leaders Blyth.
“Before the game, I told the players that there was no point in beating Colwyn Bay and Blyth, and then failing at Halesowen,” he said. “ I demanded a clean sheet in my pre match team talk, and I repeated that wish at half time. The players took it all on board and delivered the victory. It was good to keep a clean sheet, because clean sheets help you win matches.

“They have set their standards with the Bank Holiday weekend victories, and what I want most of all now is consistency.
“I thought it was a very good win on Saturday, but we won’t get carried away. The players must remain focussed and keep total concentration. I want the same again on Tuesday.”
Quakers next game is on Tuesday night at home to bottom of the table Ramsbottom, then on Saturday it’s the big FA Cup tie against Hyde United.
