Manager Martin Gray thanked all Darlington fans for their support at Tuesday night’s 3-0 home win over Skelmersdale.

Considering the unavoidably late notice about the change in venue, a magnificent crowd of 1,296 turned up at the Brewery Field and provided an excellent atmosphere for the evening.

“On behalf of the players and the rest of the management team, I must thank everyone for their support,” said MG. “The atmosphere was electric at times, and the noise certainly lifted the players during the game. Several of them said afterwards that they hadn’t heard anything like it.

“Considering we switched the game at around 1pm in the afternoon, for so many people to shrug off the inconvenience and to be so positive was great to see and hear.

“It proves how strong we all are together.

“But we must also remember that the victory was just another three points, we still have four games to play and nothing is decided yet.”
