The club has today received the resignations of head of academy Paul Thomas and lead coach Matthew Coad, and are therefore now working their periods of notice.

In the meantime, first team manager Alun Armstrong – who has Academy experience from his coaching spell at Middlesbrough -- has stepped in to run the Academy on a short term basis until a permanent successor is found.

Alun will also be helped by first team players David Atkinson and Jarrett Rivers.

Paul and Matthew both leave with our best wishes, and we would like to thank them for their work in the Academy.
