We recorded our best win of the season so far at home to Chester on 18th September, beating them 4-1
We stayed in midtable after that, and we had a good 1-0 away win at York City on 16th October 1954.
Our next away game was at Oldham on 30th October 1954, but we lost 3-1
We bounced back from the Oldham defeat by thumping Bradford City 4-0 at Feethams
The week after though, we lost 4-1 at Barnsley
After two FA cup ties against Barrow, we went to Wrexham on 27th November and drew 2-2
Workington beat us for the second time in the season by thumping us 6-1 at Borough Park.
We played on Christmas Day in the 50s, and in 1954 we played Hartlepool at the Victoria Ground, in front of 12430 but we lost 1-0
Two days later Hartlepool beat us by the same scoreline at Feethams, with 17,576 somehow squeezed into the ground.
