Quaker Women at home on Sunday

Horden are the visitors to Eastbourne

Darlington FC Women are back at home this weekend after three away games in a row. They welcome Horden CW Women to the Eastbourne Community Stadium for the first time this season.

The last time Horden visited Eastbourne, the Quaker Women hit them for 10 with goals all over the park. A customary Chloe Ryan hat-trick, Hattie Raine and Lucy Charlton getting a brace each and goals from Aimee Dagnall, Sara Ellis and Katie Sheridan finished the goalscoring on a clinical day for Darlo in the October of 2023.

The last meeting was a much closer and competitive game with Darlington beating Horden 3-0 away in April earlier this year with Hattie Raine and Chloe Ryan the goalscorers yet again.

This season, Horden have lost five games, drawn two and got their first win of the season last time out in a 4-0 victory over local neighbours Darlington Spraire. They will be looking to kick on from this win and be looking for another win against another Darlington side.

Darlington will be hoping last weekend’s loss against Leam was just a blip as they hope to build on two good away wins against Hebburn and Aycliffe. Darlington have currently won five and lost four in the league and can’t afford to drop many more points if they want to compete at the right end of the table as we enter half way point of the season.

Darlington would appreciate as much support as possible at Eastbourne on Sunday. Get yourself down and cheer them on. Kick off 2pm
