Quaker Women in FA Cup action on Sunday

Home tie at Eastbourne

The Quaker Women are in competitive action for the first time this Sunday 24th August when they welcome Heaton Hawks Ladies to the Eastbourne Community Stadium in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup Preliminary Round.

Darlington have been accepted into the FA Cup in their previous four seasons since forming and have had some fantastic cup runs over the years. They have got to the Third Round Qualifying Round on three separate occasions, just falling short of the First Round Proper each time. They have always come into the competition in the First Qualifying Round and never been drawn in the Preliminary Round.

Darlington’s opponents Heaton Hawks Ladies play in the Women’s Premiership of the Northumberland Football League.
They play at the same level of tier 7 which is the equivalent level to the Durham FA Premier Division that Darlington compete in. This is the first time that Heaton Hawks will play in the FA Cup and they will certainly be up for the historic competition.

The Quaker Women would love to have your support for our first game of the season. Our new home kits will be on show with all our new sponsors and we can’t wait to kick the season off. Let’s pack Eastbourne out and get as many Darlo fans down as possible.

We are still looking for matchday sponsorship for this game. Get in touch on commercial@darlingtonfc.org if you are interested in being our Matchday sponsor this Sunday.
