Quakers announce catering partnership with Darlington Rugby Club
By Ray Simpson
Starting from the Rochdale game
Darlington FC are pleased to announce a new matchday catering partnership with Darlington Rugby Club at our home games this season.
After listening to feedback from our fans about various aspects of catering last season such as pricing in the ground outlets and food availability in the downstairs bar, we invited tenders for the 2022-23 season.
The previous caterer and Darlington Rugby Club both submitted offers, and after a period of evaluation and a tasting session, we have decided upon working with Darlington Rugby Club for the forthcoming season.
As many people are aware, the Rugby Club have a new management team in place, and they have recruited an experienced chef and staff to provide matchday catering.
They will now be responsible for supplying our hospitality area, the downstairs bar and the pitchside catering facilities. There is a mutually agreed revenue share agreement in place on all pitch-side and bar sales for the benefit of Darlington FC.
Rugby Club general manager Gareth Smith said; “We are determined to provide an affordable standard of food and service which will please all Darlington fans, and justify the choice that the club has made. We will welcome any feedback.”
Here’s a sample of what will be on offer, starting from this Saturday's friendly with Rochdale:
Burgers £4
Sausage sandwiches £3.50
Pie and Peas £4
There will also be loaded fries, a hot dish of the day, ice cream tubs and drinks offers in the bar, such as four bottles of selected lagers for £10.
Darlington FC are looking forward to working with Darlington Rugby Club throughout the coming season, and are determined to make matchday catering and hospitality an experience which will be enjoyed by everyone.
