Quakers enjoyed another victory in their second pre season game at Hebburn.

It was another good performance from Quakers against a team from a step below, and manager Steve Watson will take plenty of positives from the game, especially the attacking play in the first half.

They took the lead through an own goal off a good low cross by Cameron Salkeld after 2 minutes, and should have added more goals before half time thanks to their flowing attacking football, which opened the Hebburn defence up on several occasions. Cedric Main, Michael Ndiwini, Will Hatfield, Salkeld, Kallum Griffiths and Scott Barrow all had chances but couldn't put them away.

In the second half, Andrew Nelson, who came on at half time, fired home with a low shot after 50 minutes, and then he missed in the fashion of Barry Conlon from the penalty spot.

Former Darlington striker Amar Purewal rounded Pete Jameson to pull a goal back for Hebburn, but Quakers again missed further chances before late sub Kenzie Harker made it 3-1 in the last minute from a Nelson assist.
