Quakers win at Tadcaster thanks to Curry goal

First pre season friendly

Quakers won their first pre season friendly courtesy of a second half goal by Mitchell Curry at Tadcaster on Tuesday night.

Manager Alun Armstrong gave every available player an outing, and it was triallist Jordan Windass who made a good run into the penalty area on the right and set up Curry to score from a few yards out on 75 minutes.

It was a good solid all round performance by Quakers, who also missed some good chances, while keeper Tommy Taylor was well protected by his defence.

Here's a post match interview with Alun in which he talks about the overall team performance and of some individuals:

Quakers: Tommy Taylor, Jordan Windass (sub Jack Raper 69), Jake Lawlor (sub Jordan Emery 69), Toby Lees, Ben Hedley (sub Jassem Sukar 45), Tom Platt (sub Ethan Harker 80), Ben Liddle (sub Adriano Moke 70), Adriano Moke (sub Jordan Mustoe 45) , Cameron Salkeld (sub Mitchell Curry 45), Kaine Felix (sub Cameron Salkeld 70), Andrew Nelson (sub Jarrett Rivers 45)

Our next friendly is away to Newton Aycliffe on Saturday, kick off 3pm
