Quakers looking for second round Trophy place -- match postponed
By Ray Simpson
Solihull are the visitors to Blackwell Meadows -- can we beat them for the first time?
The Darlington v Solihull FA Trophy tie has been postponed because of a frozen pitch
Quakers are looking to beat Solihull and earn a home tie against Harrogate in the second round of the FA Trophy tonight.
Quakers drew 2-2 at National League Solihull last Saturday thanks to a late goal by Jack Lambert, and they’re hoping to complete the job tonight.
If the game is level after 90 minutes, then it will go to extra time and then penalties if necessary.
Quakers have played Solihull on three occasions in the past, and all the games have finished in draws: 2-2 and 3-3 in the 1997-98 FA Cup, and 2-2 last Saturday.
