Quakers looking for fifth straight away league win

Away game at Gloucester

Darlington are looking for another big away performance at Gloucester on Saturday.

Quakers won 2-0 at Curzon Ashton in midweek to stretch their unbeaten run in the league to four matches, and put them second in the table, just a point behind leaders Brackley.

They go to Meadow Park with the second best away record in the league (Only Chester have a better record)  with six wins in eleven away league games, and looking for their first win away to Gloucester in six years, when Mark Beck was amongst the scorers in a 2-1 win.

The two sides have already played each other this season, with Quakers coming out on top by 3-1, Mark Beck, Jacob Hazel and Kaine Felix amongst the goals.

Quakers are also looking for their fifth successive away win, following victories at Telford, Kidderminster, Hereford and Curzon Ashton.

Here are the thoughts of assistant manager Darren Holloway

League position:  2nd (played 22, won 12, drawn 5, lost 5, goals for 37 against 25 points 41)

away form:  (played 11, won 6, drawn 2, lost 3 goals for 17 against 12, points 20, second best in the league)

Team news:  Junior Mondal will have a fitness test, David Wheater is still ruled out because of injury. Mark Beck came through Tuesday night ok after injury.
