Quakers progress in the Durham Challenge Cup with 8-2 win

Good run out for the lads

A mixture of fringe first teamers and Academy lads put on a great performance in the Durham Challenge Cup tonight, when we beat Shotton from the Wearside League by 8-2.

Several lads who needed the minutes took part in the game, along with new signing Jack Lambert, who scored two of the goals. Kevin Dos Santos and Junior Mondal also scored two apiece, with James Beauchamp and youngster David Bradley scoring the others.

We're now away to Newton Aycliffe in the next round, in a game which is to be played by the 23rd October.
