The board of directors of Darlington FC would like to announce that today the club has signed Kevin Burgess from Whitby Town.

27 year old Kevin is a very experienced centre half at EvoStik Premier Division level, having played for the Seasiders for seven seasons, ironically after being released by Darlington.

Darlington manager Martin Gray said; “I am absolutely delighted with Kevin’s signing, because he has got a huge amount of experience at this level. He knows virtually all of the forwards in this league.

“I know him from his days at Darlington. He’s a really tough, proper competitor, and he will further strengthen our defence.”

Kevin, who was out of contract at Whitby, has signed a two year contract with Quakers.

We would all like to welcome Kevin to the club, and hope he thoroughly enjoys his stay with us.
