Midfielder arrives from South Shields
Quakers have today signed midfielder Nathan Lowe on loan from South Shields.
Nathan, 24, started his career at Burnley as a youngster before joining FC United when they were in the National League North – he played against us for FC United in our 3-2 win there in August 2016.
He moved to Southport in September 2017, before going on loan to Spennymoor for four months in January 2018.
He stayed at Southport until October 2018, when he joined Shields. He helped them to the top of the Northern Premier League only for them to be denied promotion, and this season played a key role in helping them reach the first round of the Emirates FA Cup. Up to this season, he had made 67 appearances for them, scoring 15 times.
Darlington manager Alun Armstrong said; "Nathan is a very good player, and he will provide cover in the midfield area in the next few weeks."
Nathan's squad number will be 45.
We would like to thank South Shields for their help with the loan, and we would like to wish Nathan plenty of success with us.
