The 27 year old , who started his career at Leeds United, has played in virtually every position in his career, even playing as an emergency keeper once for Harrogate Town.

The Harrogate supporters voted him their player of the year in 2013-14, and last season he started 19 league games for them in Conference North. He left Harrogate at the end of the season after six years at the club, and now wants to help Quakers climb up the non league ladder.

Manager Martin Gray revealed that he has pipped several clubs for Nowakowski’s signature, and said; “He’s a big lad, who can play centre midfield, centre back and centre forward. He’s very strong, aggressive and workmanlike, and has played plenty of games two leagues above us. He has a proven track record."

Nowakowski is MG's second summer signing, following on from winger Rob Youhill from Harrogate RA.
