Youngster signs contract with Quakers
Promising midfielder Will Maddison has agreed a one year contract with Quakers, subject to FA and National League clearance.
Will, who is 19 and the son of former Darlington midfielder Neil, made his debut for Quakers last season in the FA Cup tie at West Didsbury and Chorlton, and was involved in the matchday squad on several occasions after that.
As well as playing for our Under 23 team in the Wearside League, Will also played for Darlington Town in the Northern League.
Manager Steve Watson said; "He's athletic and very confident on the ball. He's going to start pre-season with us, when we'll have a good close look at him. We don't know what his limitations are yet from whatwe've seen so far.
"It's good to have somebody of his age group in the squad."
Here's a video of Will:
We would like to wish Will all the best in the forthcoming season
