Scarborough tickets on sale to midday

239 tickets on sale to Darlington fans this week

We will be playing our latest pre-season friendly at Scarborough this Saturday – in front of a crowd!

Covid regulations have so far meant that we have had to play our games against Fleetwood and Middlesbrough Under 23s behind closed doors, but this Saturday we will be playing at Scarborough Athletic in front of paying spectators -- and Darlington fans can be there!

Scarborough, who play in the Northern Premier League, have been given permission by the authorities to hold games in front of a crowd and we have been given 239 tickets – 200 standing and 39 seated -- to sell to our supporters. The match is all ticket, there will be no cash admission on the day. Ticket prices are £10 for adults , £6 concessions (over 65s, armed forces personnel, £3 youth 12-17 years old. £2 accompanied under 11s.

Lynn from Quaker Retail is selling the tickets in My Sportswear in Morton Park until lunchtime on Friday. Please note that she will only be accepting card payments.

The game at Scarborough represents the first opportunity that Darlington fans will have to see new signings Nicky Hunt, Luke Charman, Dan Maguire and Tony McMahon in live action, while manager Alun Armstrong could also give at least one triallist an outing.

Former Darlington striker Nathan Cartman joined Scarborough during the summer.

The match will kick off at 1pm. There are 200 free parking spaces at the ground, which is in the Scarborough Sports Village, Ashburn Road, YO11 2JW. There will be a separate entrance for Darlington fans, next to the swimming pool.

Please note that if you are showing any Covid symptoms – eg sore throat, loss of sense of smell, continuous dry cough – then please self-isolate as per medical advice, and do not attend the game.
