The Board of Directors is delighted to announce that Glenwood Paints are the new first team shirt sponsors for the forthcoming season.

The deal was announced today which re-establishes a long standing partnership between Glenwood Paints and Darlington Football Club as the Club looks to continue to grow its presence back in Darlington.

Glenwood Paints will be proudly displayed on the front of  DFC’s first team home and away match and replica shirts for the new Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division campaign.

Glenwood Paints

Glenwoods identified the Quakers as the ideal partner, having been greatly impressed by their achievements in rebuilding the club, both on and off the pitch, over the past 3 years, rising through the divisions to become an established semi-professional club with aspirations of achieving league status once again in the not too distant future.

Darlington Football Club Director, Dave Mills, said: “We are delighted to confirm Glenwood Paints as the club’s main first team shirt sponsor. We are honoured that they have entrusted us to carry their brand into the Northern Premier League Premier Division. It shows how far we have come in the last few years, and I’m convinced that this new partnership will help take our developing business profile to a whole new level. Glenwoods are leaders in their industry and in the local area and I’m sure that we can establish a fantastic working relationship together as we drive both businesses forward over the next 12 months.”

Charlie Greenhalgh, Managing Director at Glenwood Paint Supplies added, "I have supported this club for over 50 years. This is a great opportunity for us and I am excited to be involved in helping DFC get back to where we wish to be".

Anthony McMaster, the Club’s Chief Commercial Officer went on to say, “Glenwood Paints are a well-established local business and Charlie has always been a supporter.  We went out and discussed what we are trying to achieve on and off the pitch and presented this opportunity. It is very pleasing that they have bought into this and to this level of commitment. We are very thankful to them and look forward to working together over the next couple of years".

The new home strip, chosen by the fans earlier this year, will be worn for the first time during the pre-season friendly against Sunderland AFC on Thursday evening, although the Glenwoods Paints logo will not appear on the front of the shirt until the start of the 2015-16 league season.

Replica shirts, bearing the sponsor’s logo, will be available to purchase in good time before the start of the new league season and the club will also shortly be announcing the new away strip to supporters.

Thank you for your continued support.
