Quakers win opening friendly at Aycliffe

Four goals in first half of 5-2 win
Quakers played their first friendly of pre-season at Newton Aycliffe on Tuesday night, and won 5-2.
Manager Alun Armstrong gave every member of his first team squad a run out, as well some Academy players and a couple of triallists.
Quakers went 4-0 up in the first half hour through Junior Mondal, Jacob Hazel, Jack Lambert and Jarrett Rivers, and after Aycliffe pulled two goals back in the second half, sub Marcus Maddison cleverly scored the fifth.

We would like to thank Aycliffe for their welcome and hospitality. The attendance was estimated to be around 800.
