Good 3-1 win at the RA
Darlington returned home with all three points after a strong and controlled performance against Darlington RA U23s.
The visitors took the lead after 16 minutes when Harvey reacted sharply inside the area to make it 0–1. The pressure continued, and ten minutes later Smith doubled the advantage with a confident finish to put Darlington 0–2 up heading into the break.
The hosts pulled one back on 80 minutes to set up a nervy ending, but Darlington responded almost immediately. With five minutes remaining, Mortimer kept his cool from the penalty spot to restore the two-goal cushion and seal a deserved 1–3 victory.
Man of the Match – Callum Thomson
A standout display from Callum, who worked tirelessly from start to finish and played a key part in driving the team’s performance. His consistency, effort, and influence throughout the game made him the clear choice for Man of the Match.
