Scott Barrow injury update
By Ray Simpson
Defender injured at end of game
Defender Scott Barrow was unfortunately injured in a challenge late in the game at King's Lynn on Saturday and had to be stretchered off the field for urgent attention.
After an assessment of the injury and discussions involving several parties, the decision was taken that as his injury was not life-threatening, the best course of action was to bring him back to Darlington on the team bus, which we did so. Steve Rodden then took him to hospital in Gateshead late on Saturday for checks.
Scott was sent home for the night, and returned on Sunday morning for X Rays.
The X rays have revealed that there are no fractures, but instead heavy bruising and impact damage. Scott is now resting at home.
We would like to wish Scott a speedy recovery, and also thank physio Luke Roberts for his care and expertise, and the King's Lynn medical staff for their assistance.
