Veteran defender signs for another season
Darlington defender Scott Barrow has agreed a new contract for the 2025-26 season, subject to FA and National League approval.
Scott was the first signing for the club under Steve Watson and Terry Mitchell which led to the club surviving relegation in the 2023-24 season. At the end of that season, his contract ended at York City he then signed a year contract with The Quakers.
He played 47 games last season where he scored his first goal for the club against Peterborough Sports.
Scott took home three end of season awards as he won Fans Player of the Season, Away Fans Player of the Season and Mangers Player of the Season.
Assistant Manger Terry Mitchell: "I’m delighted we’ve been able to bring Scott back for next season. Since he came in, he’s been a model professional and a great presence in the dressing room. He showed his durability and was vital in helping us stay in the league initially and then push forward last season. He can play left-back or centre-back, and he’ll be an important player once again as we look to progress next season."
Manager Steve Watson: "Scott was our standout player last season — incredibly consistent and played more games than almost anyone in the squad. He hit a really high standard week in, week out. Despite his age, he’s still as fit as a fiddle and his experience is vital for us. We’re absolutely delighted he’s signed on for another year."
Everyone at the club is delighted that Scott has signed for another season.
