๐Ÿ”ฅ Match Preview

After the postponement at Alfreton earlier in the week, The Quakers travel away to The Big Help Stadium to take on Southport.

Darlington welcomed Southport to Blackwell Meadows earlier in the season and won 3-0 thanks to a brace from the debuting Will McGowan and a great driven shot from Andrew Nelson.

This time, as Darlo go on the road, they will hope to do the double this season against Southport and get their first win at Southport since 1970.

The Quakers away from home have been fairly decent, with five wins and four draws in 14 games, which is the 14th best in the league and in the last five away games, Darlo have won four of them.

Southport come into this game after suffering a 4-1 defeat to Radcliffe, so they will want to get back into winning form.

Southport have gained most of their points at home. Of their 15 home games, they have only lost three times with six wins and six draws, which has gained them 24 points out of a possible 45.

๐Ÿ‘ค Player Spotlight

The star man for Southport this season has been 34-year-old attacker Danny Lloyd, who has ten goals and six assists this season. He hasn’t scored in a month but provided two assists in their 2-0 away win against Alfreton. However, the attacker came off injured against Radcliffe on Saturday.

Last Saturday, they signed 32-year-old Arthur Gnahoua on a non-contract basis. He was most recently at League Two side Grimsby Town, where he scored three goals last season.
