Quakers are deservedly in the lead at half time thanks to Mark Beck's fourth goal of the season after Quakers dominated the first 25 minutes.

Quakers were on the front foot from the off and had some good opening possession, which ended when Mark Beck was pulled up for a push on a defender when he went for Adam Mitchell’s right wing cross.

Quakers nearly took the lead on 4 minutes when Mitchell got to the bye line on the left and crossed into the middle where Beck volleyed just wide.

Quakers had another chance on 8 minutes when Thompson swopped passes with Liam Hardy, and his shot from an acute angle was pushed around the post by Kristian Dibble.

There was another opportunity on 9 minutes when Jordan Watson’s ball up the left was left by the Nuneaton defence, hardy latched on to it, and his low shot was pushed around the post.

Quakers took a deserved lead on 24 minutes, when Watson crossed from the left to the far post for Beck to beat Dibble with a looping header for his fourth goal of the season.

Nuneaton then had a spell of possession which ended with Ben O’Hanlon firing a left foot shot couple of yards wide.

Quakers had a couple of scares early in the second half. Jameson just faield to reach a corner and the ball dropped for Jordan Keane to power towards goal, but Jameson had recovered his balance by then and blocked, and as the pressure continued , Billy Daniels chipped towards the top corner from the edge of the box and Jameson managed to palm the ball away one-handed.

Quakers had a let off when Aaron Williams headed a left wing cross into the six yard box, where Joe Ironside headed wide.

And another chance came Nuneaton’s way when Tempest set up David Morgan, who controlled the ball on the edge of the box and hit a right foot shot that flew justwide of the left hand post.

Jameson had to block another Morgan effort from the edge of the box as Nuneaton kept the pressure going.

Quakers then made a sub, Gary Brown coming on for Adam Mitchell, but within a minute Nuneaton equalised when Morgan found Greg Tempest on the left and he beat Jameson with a low left foot cross shot.

But Quakers nearly regained the lead when Beck set up Brown, whose powerful right foot shot was saved at full stretch by Dibble
