Terry Mitchell signs two year contract

Assistant manager commits to the club

Darlington are delighted to announce that assistant manager Terry Mitchell has signed a two year contract with the club.

Terry came to the club with Steve Watson at the start of January, and together they have guided the club to safety from relegation, with twelve wins and a draw from their 22 games in charge and a 16th place finish. He has made a huge contribution to our successful fight against relegation and has become a very popular figure with the fans in the process.

You can see what Terry has to say in his post match interview here -- he also chats about the goalless draw at Chester.

Darlington chief executive officer David Johnston said; "We are all very pleased that Terry has signed a new contract with the club, as he and Steve have formed a very good partnership and have the respect of the players. Terry's vast knowledge and experience will be a big help to us as we build next season."

We are sure that all Darlington fans will be delighted that Terry has committed his future to us, and we wish him every success in his stay with us
