Sponsors of Saturday's game with Kidderminster
We would like to thank lifelong Darlington fan Paul Hodgson and his wife Jen for being the virtual matchball sponsors for Saturday's first National League North home game against Kidderminster.
Paul has been a lifelong fan of Darlington FC, and has sponsored the club in many different ways in the past.
He said; "I've supported the club for almost 50 years and since I married Jen back in 2017 she has become a fervent supporter also.
"We've sponsored four players this season (Jarrett Rivers, Nicky Hunt, Nick Cranston and Jordan Watson) together with goalkeeping coach Jim Provett.
"I used to be a season ticket holder, but after a discussion with Jen and David Johnston, we decided to sponsor some players instead. This is due to my ongoing health problems, and our inability to attend as many games as we'd like.
"David Johnston, John Vickerman and Ray Simpson have been a great help with both investing in, and promoting our film 'Give Them Wings'.
"With this in mind, we wanted to put a little bit back."
