The legacy of Harvey McWilliams

The club has received the following invitation from the Harvey McWilliams Foundation:
 
We are inviting grassroots football clubs, families and members of the public to join us on this year's walk For Harvey Walk, celebrating the power of sport to bring people together.
 
Our theme for 2026 is Walk & Talk Sport-a simple idea with a big impact, as we walk we'll share stories,talk about the game we love and celebrate the strength and togetherness of our football family, which meant so much to Harvey.
This event is for everyone; players, coaches, supporters,volunteers and anyone who believes in the difference sport can make.  Whether you come in your Club colours, with your team or by yourself you will be part of a warm welcoming day that supports young people and keeps Harvey's legacy moving forward.

Together, we can make this year's walk our strongest yet!
 
We will be meeting at Darlington FC, Blackwell Meadows, Saturday 23rd May 2026 at 8.30am and leaving at 9am, we would love for the club to be involved, whether it's walking out of Darlington with us or as far as you want to go!
With the return to Darlo, then the walk is a trip of 38 miles
