Jack wins it for Quakers with late goal

Bounceback from the FA Cup exit
Leamington 0 Darlington 1
Scorer: Maskell 87 mins
Darlington bounced back in style from their Telford disappointment with a good win at Leamington.
Manager Steve Watson changed formation to a 4-4-2 and they looked more solid, with the players growing in confidence as the game went on.
And deservedly it was Jack Maskell who scored the winner after previously going close three times in the game.
Here are Steve's thoughts on the win:

Louis Rose had the first shot of the game, a left foot shot from the edge of the box that Peter Jameson saved low down to his left.
Demico Burton then ran through and fired over the top after Kallum Griffiths seemed to be barged out of the way, before Quakers got a free kick on the edge of the Leamington box for keeper Rogan Ravenhill flattening Tom Allan. Griffiths' free kick was blocked by the wall.
Leamington replied with a couple of corners, the second of which Burton headed into Jameson’s hands.
When Quakers won their first corner, the ball dropped for Charlie Lennon, whose shot was blocked, and when the ball came back into the box, Lennon had another effort stopped by a defender.
After Leamington’s Ewan Williams failed to test Jameson with a shot on the turn from a long throw, Quakers nearly took the lead on 32 minutes, when Will McGowan crossed to the far post where Jack Maskell’s header was somehow blocked by Ravenhill at point blank range
Just on half time, Quakers broke well out of defence through Main, who set up McGowan on the edge of the box, but he fired over
Half time Leamington 0 Darlington 0
Leamington went close at the start of the second half, with a low shot by Luke Shaw that went just past the far post.
Quakers almost opened the scoring on 59 minutes when Tom Platt won the ball near the Leamington penalty area, kept the ball in play and found Maskell, whose right foot shot was well saved by Ravenhill at full stretch.
They had another chance on 69 minutes when they broke quickly through Lennon, but his shot was pushed over the bar by Ravenhill.
Quakers finished the gme stronger and in control.
Main then picked the ball up on the left, moved inside and hit a right foot shot straight at Ravenhill.
Maskell went close again, this time volleying the ball over the bar in a scramble in the Leamington box
But he broke through with three minutes left, when Barrow’s long throw was flicked on by Forbes and Main for him to bury the ball from a couple of yards! His fifth goal of the season gave Quakers the points.
