This is 6 year old Tobias Slade from our under 7 side, who recently made his first appearance for Newcastle United Academy in a tournament which was hosted by Newcastle and included two Newcastle teams plus Everton Academy and more. His team finished in third place overall.

"Tobias is an enthusiastic player who never misses a training session,” said his coach Martin Sowerby. “He always turns up with a smile on his face, has a really good character, not to mention his wand of a right-foot. He has the potential to go further in the game."

Tobias, who is an attacking midfielder, has also been to Middlesbrough and Sunderland academies for trials, and is certainly one to watch in the future.
