Under 17s through to County Cup semi final

Stockton West End Under 18s 0 Darlington Youth Under 17s 7

Darlington Under 17s had a great 7-0 win away win against Stockton West End Under 18s to put them through to the County Cup semi final.

The Under 17s started the game positively, taking the lead in the 10^th minute through George Shaw and they grabbed another in the 15^th minute with a well taken free kick by Lee Hume.

Darlo progressed with goals from Joseph Smith and full debutant Luke Williamson before half time to make it 4-0.

In the second half Darlington continued to dominate with goals from George Shaw and Joseph Smith. Luke then scored again from a through ball by Sean Bending.

Team manager Martin Gray said; “ Overall it was a very strong team performance. The stand out players on the day in the first half were Lee Hume and Joey Smith, who was a constant threat running at players along with Luke Wilkinson.

In the second half, there were very good performances from Sean Bending along with James Donoghue. It's a fantastic result considering that we were up against a team a year older. We’re really looking forward to the semi final draw!”
