We're pleased to announce that Darlington FC's pre-season preparations continue with a friendly match away to Newton Aycliffe, scheduled for Saturday, July 8th at 3pm, taking place at Moore Lane. This game offers a valuable opportunity to assess our team's fitness and integration of new signings, ahead of the fast-approaching 2023/24 season.

Newton Aycliffe, who recently earned promotion from the Northern League, are led by our former assistant manager and player, Brian Atkinson. Now playing two tiers below us in the football pyramid, they'll provide a useful challenge as we fine-tune our squad and strategies in what will be our second pre-season match.

This encounter serves as a reunion with Atkinson, offering an interesting subplot to the game. As we build our pre-season momentum, it'll be a chance for our supporters to get an early glimpse of the team's progress and new talent with summer signings Cameron Salkeld, Jordan Mustoe, Tom Platt and Toby Lees likely to feature. 

The game is a 3pm kick off with match tickets priced at £9 for adults and £6 for children/concessions, with cash payment on the turnstiles. We appreciate your steadfast support as we prepare for the forthcoming season.
