Quakers came from behind to clinch their second away win inside five days.

They went behind when Terry Galbraith put through his own goal on 13 minutes, but some clever setpieces put Gloucester under pressure, and goals by Liam Hardy -- his third of the season) and Mark Beck gave Quakers victory.

Quakers went behind on 13 minutes, when Gloucester’s Tom Webb crossed from the left to the far post, where Terry Galbraith, under little pressure, miskicked the ball into his own goal.

Quakers came back well, and nearly levelled when Kevin Burgess had a shot blocked and the ball ran loose for Gary Brown, whose goalbound effort was blocked on the line by Gloucester keeper Jas Singh.

Then in Darlo’s next attack, Galbraith put Liam Hardy through, but the keeper blocked his left foot shot at the near post.

Quakers deservedly levelled on 21 minutes. The ball was played across the Cheltenham box to the far right where Stephen Thompson picked the ball up, cut inside, and chipped the ball onto the box, where Liam Hardy glanced the ball home.

Mark Beck then headedon to the top of the crossbar from a Liam Marrs free kick, then Hardy again got on the end of a Beck flick and Singh just managed to spread himself and stop the ball coming past him.

Quakers deservedly went in front on 42 minutes. Long throw specialist Gary Brown, who used the fire exit tunnels to good effect for extra run up, threw the ball into the box where Beck rose everybody and beat Singh with a delightful looping header.

In the second half, Gloucester were more physical and more direct, and they nearly levelled with a left foot shot by Tom Webb that Jameson saved at full stretch.

But with Burgess and Brown winning most of the balls at the back, and Phil Turnbull breaking up attacks just in front of them, Quakers defended well, and didn’t allow Gloucester many more chances, with the defence snuffing everything out.

Quakers nearly got a third when Josh Gillies set up Hardy, but his low shot was saved by Singh.

With this victory, Quakers are now up to joint third, level on ten points with Fylde, Kidderminster and Salford,
