Volunteers needed -- updated

Work on pitch covers
The weather is meant to improve at the start of next week, and therefore we are taking the opportunity to move and fold our pitch covers. We need some volunteer help on Wednesday morning (instead of Sunday) at Blackwell Meadows from 10am.
At the moment, they are in a heap at Blackwell Meadows and are in need of some care and attention.
We want to make sure that they are ready to cover the pitch should the need arise over the rest of the season, and so we want to move them out of their storage area and fold them ready for future use.
They are heavy duty covers, and therefore we need at least twelve volunteers to put them in better shape.
This is manual work, and you will need to bring some gloves.
The forecast for over Christmas looks as if it may be kind to us, but we don't want our home games to start piling up. We have re-arranged our home game with Southport already (for 31st January). Therefore, we want to be prepared for all eventualities, and we may need volunteers again to help put covers on the field late next week and remove them again on Boxing Day morning.
Please email / contact Joanne Cameron (joanne.cameron@darlingtonfc.org) if you can help us on Sunday and going forward with the covers.
