Home game on Sunday against the Spraire
Darlington FC Women are back in league action this Sunday as they welcome local rivals Darlington Spraire Ladies to the Eastbourne Community Stadium for the Darlo Derby.
The two sides have met 6 times competitively and it was Spraire who came out on top in the first season, ending Darlington’s 14 game unbeaten streak with a 4-1 victory and also edging the League Cup semi final with a 2-0 win. The other league game in Darlo’s debut season ended 1-1 with Hattie Raine and Ella Hodgson getting the goals.
Since meeting 3 times in Season 21/22, the sides have met another 3 times in the next few years. The Quaker Women have come out on top and took the 3 points on all occasions. Not conceding a goal against Spraire in the last 3 games, winning 3-0 in both fixtures of the 22/23 season and 5-0 earlier in the season, with goals coming from Hattie Raine, Chloe Ryan, Lily Wilkinson and Chloe Bright.
It would be great to have your support this Sunday in what will be the manager's 100th game in charge.
