This time three years ago, the Quaker Women played their first ever FA Cup tie beating Chester Le Street Amazons 4-2 with a brace from Hattie Raine and a goal each for Emma Doudican and Sophie Curle. They made it to the 3rd Round Qualifying that season and matched that in their second season.
Last season, saw Darlington travel to play Bedlington Belles F.C in the First Round, coming home with a 5-3 win after the game was suspended for half hour because of a thunderstorm. The goals came from Chloe Ryan, Hattie Raine, Aimee Dagnall and former captain Toni Upton that day. They then went out in the Second Round Qualifying against Sunderland West End in a 4-1 defeat.
This Sunday, GT7 Ladies F.C who play in the same tier but in the Lancashire League will travel to the Eastbourne Community Stadium hoping to get a victory in their first ever FA Cup tie.
