π₯ Match Preview
The Quakers are back on the road when they travel to the Sandy Lane Stadium for the first time to meet Worksop Town on Tuesday night.
Darlo come into this midweek fixture after a big win away at Chorley, where two first-half goals from Cedric Main and Will McGowan, helped guide Darlo to their first win at Victory Park since 1989.
When away from home, the Quakers have been a consistently strong opponent for most of the league and find themselves 5th in the away form table with seven wins and one draw in 13 games with 22 goals scored and 21 conceded, which has gained them 22 points.
Darlington’s opponents, Worksop Town, have done alright for a newly promoted team and are 18th in the table with eight wins and six draws in 28 games for a total of 30 points.
The Tigers come into this game after a late loss to Macclesfield last Saturday, who scored two goals in the last ten minutes to win 4-2.
At Sandy Lane this season, Worksop haven’t been able to make it the fortress they would’ve liked and are 18th in the home form table with four wins and four draws in 14 home games, which have gained them 16 points.
The last time the two clubs met was in November last year, when Quakers walked away 5-1 winners with goals from five different scorers, with Aidan Rutledge, Will McGowan, Max Howells, Charlie Lennon and Jack Maskell all getting on the scoresheet.
