York City v Darlington preview

Two former winners face each other

Darlington go to York in the third round of the Isuzu FA Trophy as underdogs.

York are top of the National League, but Quakers have suddenly hit form, and are unbeaten in their last four matches.

It’s also a game between two former winners – York won the competition in 2012 and 2017, and of course Quakers won in 2011.

Darlington players Pete Jameson, Kallum Griffiths, Tom Platt, Scott Barrow, Will Hatfield and Cedric Main will all be facing one of their previous clubs.

Darlington manager Steve Watson was boss at York for nearly three years.
