Saturday 3rd December 2022:
RFYL Girls U11 Division One:
Washington AFC Lionesses Vs. Darlington FC Quakers
POTM: EB
Team Coach Jamie Miller said; "Another good performance from the girls with more great team goals passing and moving. Washington had 13 players on the pitch by the end to keep the scoreline down but the girls still found a way through".

RFYL Girls U13 Cup:
Darlington FC 4-3 Washington FC United
Goalscorers: Xienna F (3) & Freya W
POTM: Freya W
Team Coach Mick Walton said; "Today we welcomed Washington Utd who we drew 2-2 with a few weeks ago so we knew that this would be a tough game against the team sitting in second in the prem. We started quickly & took a lead early on only for Washington to hit back straight away and so this set the tone of the game with the lead changing hands several times. With a minute to go it was 3-3 and heading to penalties when Xienna picked up the ball on the left wing from the corner and smashed it in the top corner to win the game 4-3. Neither team deserved to lose today as all the girls gave everything on the pitch but it’s ourselves who now go into the next round of the cup".

RFYL Girls U14 Division One:
Jarrow FC Vikings 1-5 Darlington FC Feethams
POTM: Rosa S & Tendi K
Team Coach Paul Ross said; "Feethams started the game slowly today and our girls conceded a early break away goal. Then as the game progressed we started to settle into the game with a lovely through ball from our returning captain Liv C to release Izobella who accelerated through to slot a lovely ball into the back of the net. Just before half time we edged in front with a strong run and shot from Chloe. The second half started as we finished the 1st with Chanelle picking the ball up in her own half and struck a wonderful long range effort straight into the roof of the Jarrow net. After a lot of pressing again from the front we scored again through Chloe to get her brace for the day, we finished the scoring when the girls did some lovely one touch passing to release Lily who run through to slot into the bottom left hand corner. A very muddy and slippery pitch today but still our girls played some lovely football on the ground".

RFYL Girls U18 Cup:
Darlington FC 4-4 Darlington FC Allstars (3-0 on pens)
Goalscorers: Brooke, Lily W & Nicole (2)
POTM: Rachel F
Team Coach Scott Buckton said; "The girls started well putting passes together but the final ball just wasn’t falling for us today, the game was fairly even for the first 20 minutes but the deadlock was finally broken with Brooke putting us 1-0 up , with a mix up from the back shortly after taking the lead, Darlo allowed Allstars to place the ball into an empty net to make it 1-1, this inspired Allstars to push for the rest of the half and found themselves 3-1 up at HT. Darlington came out fighting in the second half and soon found themselves back in it after a goal from Lily W , Allstars didn’t let the pressure get to them and again battled and with a superb finish found the 2 goal advantage again 4-2. Change in formation, and Darlington decided to throw everything at them with 15 mins to go. This paid off with Nicole bursting forward and grabbing a goal then in the final minutes Darlington were awarded a penalty which Nicole calmly put away. This sent the game to a penalty shootout where we came away 3-0 winners with Evie saving every penalty she faced".

RFYL Boys U10 Premier Division:
Darlington FC Quakers Vs. Easington FC
Goalscorers: JN9 & NP7
Team Coach Sam Pascoe said; "The boys played the majority of todays game with the bare 7 players as JJ11 was missing through injury and JB6 was unwell. Despite this, the lads worked exceptionally hard to grind out a great result, playing some equally fantastic football at times in the game. Our first goal came just before half-time, a stunning half volley from JN9. We dominated large parts of the second half, but lacked a cutting edge, as the boys began to tire. The lads kept going and got a deserved second goal late on, a great strike from the right hand side from NP7 sealed the win".

RFYL Boys U10 Premier Division:
Darlington FC Feethams Vs. Pass Soccer FC
POTM: IC
Team Coach David Boardman said; "We were the stronger side for the 1st half only to concede an unfortunate own goal which couldn’t have been prevented. The boys heads dropped and we conceded a second goal from a Pass Soccer counter attack to which we didn’t react too just before the end of the half. In the second half, we were chasing and battling to which our efforts were rewarded with our attacking midfielder OR grabbing his 1st goal for the side since joining recently. The lads then switched off at this goal thinking the hard work was done and we were punished with conceding 30 seconds after the restart with an outstanding finish which our GK had zero chance of saving. We tried in vein after this but unfortunately couldn't capitalise on the several chances we created for ourselves. The lads came away very disappointed at the end as they knew they were the better side but realise they have to convert the opportunities they create".
RFYL Boys U13 Division One:
Darlington FC 5-0 Foundation of Light FC
Goalscorers: Frankie, Dan, Luca & George (2)
Team Coach Richie Allen said; "Good solid performance from the lads today on a heavy pitch against opposition who turned up and put every player behind the ball,
Some great passing and switching play to open them up and come away with a very comfortable victory".
RFYL Boys U15 Cup:
Newton Aycliffe FC 0-8 Darlington FC
Goalscorers: Dwayne (3), Paddy (2), Harry, Alex & Liam P
POTM: Dwayne
Team Coach Michael Eggleston said; "A top notch performance and result after a few weeks without a game. Everyone played a big part, and put in a big shift, well done lads".

Sunday 4th December 2022:
TJFA Boys U7 Argentina Division:
Boro Rangers FC Vs. Darlington FC
Goalscorers: SM
POTM: FL
Team Coach Wayne Rudd said; "Terrible conditions for the u7s at Boro Rangers this lunchtime, torrential rain and freezing cold. The team started really well though and had a few good chances to take the lead, hitting the post and making the the goalie make numerous saves. Eventually Rangers took the lead after they were awarded a free kick just outside the box which they smashed home with a little help from the wind. Even though Quakers continued to play well they couldn't get themselves back into the game and eventually the conditions got the better of some of the team. There was a excellent consolation goal from SM after OM picked him out on the edge of the box from a corner".
TJFA Boys U10 Blue Division:
Darlington FC Feethams Vs. North Ormesby FC
POTM: ZH
Team Coach Dom Webber said; "A hard game today in the wind and rain and hailstones against a tough-tackling team. We have away a very sloppy goal early on from which we found it very difficult to recover. North Ormesby scored two very good goals as well which left them out of our reach, despite rolling up our sleeves and scoring a fine goal from ZH's run and cross/shot. With no substitutes and some of the boys under the weather I won't blame any of these lads for having an off day today".
TJFA Boys Red Division:
Darlington FC Quakers Vs. FC Hartlepool
Goalscorers: IT8 (2), JN9 (2), FC10 (3), JJ11 (2) & TB5
Team Coach Lee Childs said; "A great performance from the boys in very challenging circumstances. We started really well and took a two goal lead early in the game thanks to a tidy finish from IT8 and a lovely sweeping volley from close range by JN9. FC10 finished smartly from a lovely team move and JJ11 hit an absolute rocket from outside of the box to finish off a brilliant team goal from a very tidy passing sequence. CR1 was in great form in goal, commanding his area and made a great save but unfortunately we were slow on the rebound and conceded on the half time whistle. The second half continued in a similar vein. We started well and scored early goals again from JN9, JJ11 and FC10. A special mention to JB6 who played despite being really unwell. He gave everything to the point he had to come off unwell leaving us with only 7 players for the last 10 minutes. The boys dug deep and despite conceding a counter attack goal added more to our own score line thanks to goals from IT8 with a great long range strike, FC10 with a close range finish and TB5 with a thunderous drive from the edge of the box. We conceded a late goal late on despite the heroic efforts of LF4 who twice cleared off the line as we got caught on the counter attack. Overall a great attacking performance from the lads".

TJFA Boys U11 White Division:
Kadar FC Vs. Darlington FC Quakers
Goalscorers: JW & LN
POTM: RP
Team Coach Scott Mallen said; "The players got off to a really slow and sloppy first half going 2-0 down. Second half kicked off and the players started to find there feet, playing some nice attacking football and had Kadar on the back foot for the majority of the second half. Darlington pulled a goal back after a wonderful run down the wing and a cross which found our strikers feet, this was then touched off to our other winger who struck it beautifully into the back off the net. Darlington continued to press and attack the Kadar defence after a long ball, this caught Kadar off guard and the Darlington player was straight onto it, who slotted in off the post bringing the score back level. With only a couple of minutes left, Kadar were awarded an indirect free kick, the ball found one of Kadar's players who tucked it away for them to take the points. This could have easily been blown for offside but the referee stuck with his decision. Darlington were unlucky not to walk away with at least a point after that second half performance".
TJFA Boys U11 Red Division:
Darlington FC Feethams Vs. Stockton Town FC
Team Coach Paul Orton said; "It was a surprisingly fluent game today with the ball travelling well and both teams happy to play a passing game rather then succumb to the conditions and pressures of playing in an unconventional way. We didn’t start the game as planned. The boys seemed over cautious and found themselves playing very deep which invited pressure. This resulted in an early Stockton goal. A change in mindset followed and our higher line and quality passing caused Stockton lots of problems throughout. Some really good performances today and a couple of terrific goals scored. A goal in each half. In the first half a quality cross field strike from TO nestled into the far top corner and a wonderful goal in the second half starting from a short corner routine recently practised in training. It resulted in pinpoint cross by TO which was met brilliantly by KH who finished with a sublime volley. It was a good all around performance by KH. Very good effort and performances by several other boys as well including MD who was outstanding. We have some very good boys within our group who are totally committed to try the best they can with maximum effort and desire to play. We are enthusiastic about helping them and excited about their ongoing development".
