Saturday 24th September 2022:

TJFA Girls U9 Blue Division:

Darlington FC Vs. Billingham FC

Team Coach Chloe Bright said' "The girls performed well throughout the game, creating some great team goals. Any breaks forward from the opposition were dealt with well by the defence, who were quick to turn the play into attack and help contribute to the goals".

RFYL Girls U13 Premier Division:

Darlington FC 6-4 Hetton FC

POTM: Freya Wood

Goalscorers: Xienna, Izzy K (2), Anna & Freya (2)

Team Coach Mick Walton said; "A great end to end game today with both teams going for the win with the Darlo girls just edging it. A quiet first half from our girls who came alive in the second half after being behind 4 times to claim our first win of the season".

RFYL Girls U14 Premier Division:

South Shields FC 5-0 Darlington FC Quakers

POTM: Scarlett W

Team Coach Shaun Mackenzie said; "Tough away day for the Quakers girls this morning. The girls went 3-0 down in the first 20 minutes and didn’t really recover in the game. South Shields wanted it more and deserved the win. Darlo did play some decent football in spells and the girls will pick themselves up and go again next week with their first home game".

RFYL Girls U14 Division One:

Darlington FC Feethams 2-2 Cleveland Hall FC

Goalscorers: Chloe Shephard & Rosa Spence

POTM: Izobella Ross

Team Coach Paul Ross said; "Today was a classic game of two half! After a great start and coming very close to getting an early lead the game quickly turned the other way in favour of our opponents and they went into a 0-2 lead at the break.

At half time we shuffled the squad and slowly started to build our play and began to look more compact and solid. Our fitness levels and desire really started to show as we pushed our opponents really hard and eventually scored two cracking long range efforts to level things up.

In the last 15 minutes, there was only one team in it, as the Darlo girls tried to get the winner. The game eventually came to an end with a well earned second half draw".

RFYL Girls U18 South Division:

Darlington FC 3-0 Guisborough FC

Goalscorers: Rachel F, Nicole G & Lily W

POTM: Millie S

Team Coach Scott Buckton said; "A fantastic performance today from the Quaker girls. The girls came straight out of the blocks, creating the more chances of the two teams and eventually grabbing the first and only goal of the half from a well worked team goal.

An even better start to the second half seen two quick successive goals go Darlington's way to take a comfortable lead. Guisborough battled hard though and created a lot of good chances themselves within the last 15minutes but it just wasn’t there day in front of goal".

RFYL Boys U10 Premier Division:

Darlington FC Quakers Vs. Foundation of Light

Team Coach Lee Childs said; "A great performance this morning from the boys in awful conditions up at Silksworth. The Boys started the game well and dominated the first half. They were unfortunate to go in at half time level and without converting one of the many chances they had created. They found themselves behind early in the second half due to a lapse in concentration. The boys rallied excellently and were rewarded for their endeavours with three goals in the second half".

RFYL Boys U10 Premier Division:

Darlington FC Feethams Vs.Easington FC

Team Coach Dom Webber said; "A very good performance from the boys and a massive improvement from last week showed that they are more than ready to compete at this level. Every one of them showed character and skill and determination. Well done lad".

RFYL Boys U13 Division One:

Darlington FC 10-0 Bishop Juniors FC

Goalscorers: Frankie (2), Jack P (2), Tom (2), Luca (2), Bobby & Indie

POTM: Jack Knight

Team Coach Richie Allen said; "The boys are continued their brilliant start to the season, scoring 19, conceding 0 after two games. Today the boys came out and played at a really high tempo, the football which they played was outstanding, creating triangles all over the pitch and playing one touch football which the opposition couldn’t cope with and it was great to watch.

The score line tells the story that the game was very one sided from start to finish. Fair play to Bishop for trying to play the game in the right way and keeping there heads up through to the end. Although we scored 10, the shooting accuracy has a lot to be worked on, this weeks training will be shooting practice to keep that ball down".

RFYL Boys U15 Division Two:

Darlington FC 2-3 Hartlepool Pools Youth FC Whites

Goalscorers: AJ & Alex

POTM: Liam P

Team Coach Michael Eggleston said; "A poor all round performance today, nowhere near our usual levels. Despite this, we did take a 2-1 lead and had plenty of chances to put the game to bed. Instead, we conceded 2 scrappy goals from corners in the last 10 minutes and lost the game narrowly 3-2. An early wake up call for the lads, who I’m sure will respond to it next week".

Sunday 25th September 2022:

TJFA Boys U7 League Cup:

Darlington FC Quakers Vs. Stokesley FC

Team Coach Wayne Rudd said; "Another really good performance from the U7s, today against Stokesley. There was some great football played only 1 goal scored by the Quakers but the post hit on several occasions, great saves from their keeper and some unawarded penalty decisions went against the team today. The team should be proud of the their performance, they will definitely continue to improve".

TJFA Boys U9 Cup:

Darlington FC Vs. Darlington 21st Allstars FC

Team Coach Paul Robertson said; "Not the best performance from us today all the score line says different, just never got going all across the pitch".

TJFA Boys U10 League Cup

Darlington FC Quakers Vs. Riverside Juniors Blues

Team Coach Sam Pascoe said; "A fantastic contest between two great teams this morning. The Darlo boys had the better of possession in the first half but lacked a cutting edge in the final third. Second half was a similar story, as both teams struggled to break the deadlock. With less then 5 minutes to go, we got the winner to take us through to the next round through a well worked team goal".

TJFA Boys U10 League Cup

Darlington FC Feethams Vs. Middleton Rangers FC Spitfires

Team Coach Dom Webber said; "The Darlington boys moved the ball around really well at times, particularly when we challenged ourselves to pass the ball more quickly and play with limited touches leading to lots of goals. Middleton Rangers never stopped trying and scored a couple of good goals themselves. A good natured match played with respect".

TJFA Boys U11 League Cup:

Darlington FC Quakers Vs. Northallerton Town FC Blacks

Team Coach Scott Mallen said; "It was the U11's first game of the season with our newly formed squad. The first half was a very close encounter with some amazing football played from both sides. Changes were continuously made throughout the game for the coaches to see the players perform in a proper game situation, which they did not fail on. Despite the score, the team played fantastic and are going to go into next weeks game positively and hit the ground running".

TJFA Boys U12 League Cup:

Stokesley FC 1-3 Darlington FC

Team Coach Chris Stephens said; "The lads started well, but a mix up between our goalkeeper and defender resulted in Stokesley going 1-0 up. We continued to play some good football and the lads got back level not long after. We continued to press and went in at halftime ahead. The second half was a good battle but we managed to hold them and add a third goal to our tally. Onto the next round of the cup we go.

TJFA Boys U16 League Cup:

Darlington FC 0-3 Norton and Stockton Ancients

POTM: Ethan Mcloughin

Team Coach Dan Hook said; "A really good first game for our new side. Norton showed they were a well established team from the division above but the new Darlo team grew into the game and spent a large portion of it on top and more threatening than their opponents.

A goal after 2 minutes put Norton ahead as keeper and defender miscommunicated leaving an easy tap in for the striker. The next 50 minutes was all Darlo but we were restricted to half chances or shots from range. The bar and post were both rattled by the home side as they looked to make their dominance count but Norton showed their clinical edge as the game wore on scoring twice in the last 10 mins to confirm their passage into round two. Lots of positives though and when some key players return, the results will start to follow".

TJFA Boys U17 League Cup

Hartlepool Youth 0-3 Darlington FC

Goalscorers: Maciej Nuprejczyk, Liam Murray & Raphael Oppong

POTM: Blake Wheldon

Team Coach Grant Cuthbertson said; "Darlington started the game really positively and on the 6th min Ethan Cuthbertson crossed from the right wing which was met by Maciej Nuprezjcy who slotted home for the first goal. We were then awarded a penalty after Raphael Oppong dribbled in to the box past 3 players and evenetually brought down and awarded a penalty. Liam Murray, full of confidence picked the ball up and placed it on the spot and confidently finished into the top left bins to make it 0-2. Darlington continued to still dominate the game and in the 35th min Raphael Oppong made it 0-3. Darlington continued to dominate possession for the remainder of the games but were lack lustre in the final third. Hartlepool offered very little and our defence stayed strong, the game finished 0-3 to Darlington".
