Saturday 29th October 2022:

TJFA Girls U9 Blue Division:

Darlington FC Vs. Coulby Newham FC

Team Coach Chloe Bright said; "The girls had a slow start this morning conceding some early goals, after the first 10 minutes, Darlington woke up and worked really hard, managing to have a few shots on target but were unfortunate to not get them in the back of the net. They started strong in the second half scoring a great team goal but Coulby Newham were on top form getting another one back. With some great work from defence, they managed to get the ball up the pitch to score another lovely worked goal. The girls worked extremely well in the awful weather conditions and will be ready to go again next week".

RFYL Girls U11 Division One:

Consett AFC Firestar FC Vs. Darlington FC Quakers

Team Coach Jamie Miller said;"What a performance today from all the girls in horrendous conditions, especially second half. Lovely football was played right throughout the game and the first half was some of the best football played all season. Things are really starting to come together for the girls with some great passing and finishing, equally as good defending. Ran out deserved winners against a good Consett side".

TJFA Girls U11 White Division:

Darlington FC Feethams Vs. Kader FC

Team Coach Chloe Bright said; "Outstanding performance from the Darlington Feethams this morning, making some brilliant passes and team goals. They showed very positive attitudes and determination from the first whistle to the last, which reflected in the score. Kader’s goal keeper had a great game saving some very good shots throughout. Well done Kader".

POTM: Myla G

Team Coach Mick Walton said; "A horrible day in the rain for the girls but we went out quickly and really made the use of the 3G, making the most of the size and the surface with great passing. The girls tried a few different positions today, with only a couple of subs which made for less stoppages. Velocity never gave up & grabbed a goal at the end which they more than deserved. A good all round performance and another 3 points as we move onto next week and play the league leaders".

Goalscorers: Anna C x2 Chloe S x2, Izobella R x3, Ava P x1 & Chanelle N x3

Team Coach Paul Ross said; "After a bit of a slow start this morning in really wet conditions, the girls adapted really well and started to take a strangle hold of the game, with some slick passing through the lines and sensational wide play we finished the half going in 6-0 up at Half time. Second half started with our kick off and a superb passage of play with 1,2 touch football and we scored again within seconds of the second half kick off. At that point, we had the privilege of moving players into different positions to help keep the score line down with our goal keepers again getting a run out in outfield positions and also Hebburn bringing on a extra player. The game ended 11-0 to Feethams, well done Hebburn".

RFYL Girls U18 South Division:

Middlesbrough FC 1-1 Darlington FC

Goalscorer: Nicole G

POTM: Elisha W

Team Coach Scott Buckton said; "Tough test today for Darlington who were up against a strong Middlesbrough side, game started off an even battle until Middlesbrough took advantage of a Darlington mistake to take the lead halfway through the first half. Darlington battled back well and didn’t give up and this time took advantage of a Middlesbrough mistake to equalise just before the break.
Second half again was very even and both teams creating plenty of chances which neither could convert. Some good defensive displays from both teams meant a fair result in a draw to end the game. And a good point for Darlington".

Sunday 30th October 2022:

TJFA Boys U7 Argentina Division:

Darlington FC Quakers Vs. Boro Rangers Milan FC

Team Coach Wayne Rudd said; "A fantastic performance from the U7's today against one of the top teams in the league. We matched them the whole game and played with great confidence. We scored some great goals and defended really well, the team are really starting to move the ball around well and will only improve even further".

Darlington FC Boys U7's

TJFA Boys U10 Red Division

Darlington FC Quakers Vs. Boro Rangers FC Blues

Goalscorers: FC10 (4)

Team Coach Sam Pascoe said; "We went into the game with just 7 lads available, as a couple of lads were away with it being half term. We started the game fast, with some good link up play in the final third and soon found ourselves 2-0 up, with FC10 on the scoresheets on both occasions. A very comfortable and confident performance from the lads on a boggy grass pitch. The lads began to tire in the second half and we were unable to make any changes. Some heroic saves by CR1 kept the scoreline comfortable".

TJFA Boys U16 Division Three:

Leven Whites 4-0 Darlington Fc

POTM: Josh Scott

Team Coach Dan Hook said; "Darlington suffered their first league defeat of the season today against a solid Leven side. The blustery conditions created a stop start game with both teams unable to properly get into a rhythm. Much of the first half was scrappy, with the away side edging the attempts tally, but two key moments went against Darlington in the dying minutes of the half. Leven went in 1-0 up after a rebounded free kick was tapped in. The second half was more even, with both teams getting a lot more chances, particularly 1v1s. Despite fighting until the end, Darlington eventually succumbed to 4-0 defeat with two late breakaway goals stretching the score line at the end. To coin a famous phrase, ‘it was one of those days’. Darlington hit everything but the net today and it would have continued that way until midnight. Not our best performance but still positives to take away and everyone is ready to get back to winning ways next week".

TJFA U17 Division One:

Darlington FC 7-0 Leven FC

Goalscorers: ️Luke Wade, Alfie Palesci Fawcett, Raphael Oppong, Liam Murray (2)
& Maciej Nuprejczyk (2)

POTM: Owen Harvey

Team Coach Grant Cuthbertson said; "What started as a lovely Autumn day in Darlington, ended up being a torrential rainstorm. The boys started very bright and didn’t let their foot off the gas until the final whistle. Darlington dominated possession and played some very good football, to which Leven couldn’t cope with. Leven managed to eventually get a shot on target on the 87th minute from a free kick to which Liam Mason saved perfectly to ensure he had a clean sheet".
