FUTSAL UPDATE:

Teesside Boys U12 Futsal League:

Darlington FC Futsal C 10-2 Hurworth Albion Blues

Team Coach Tony Liddle said; "That’s 6 wins, 1 draw and 0 loses, which puts us top of the table with 3 games to play in the winter league. The boys are developing a strong bond and are playing as a cohesive team. They are becoming more and more confident with each game and demonstrate great desire and determination throughout every second of every game. This was apparent in last week’s win over Marton Royals, coming back from being 4-0 down at half time to eventual 7-4 winners. Amazing resilience and teamwork!".

Darlington FC Feethams Vs. Sunderland West End FC

POTM: SB

Team Coach David Boardman said; "Today was always going to be difficult game against a side sat top of the league. To the boys credit they played really good football throughout the whole match. Despite this, we went in at half time 3-0 down with us conceding an own goal and two goals against the run of play. In the second half, we matched the opposition but unfortunately conceded a further 2 own goals. We continued to play and were awarded a free kick on the left byline about 30 yards from goal, SB stepped up and buried it in the far top corner of the goal. We continued to play and press, but unfortunately gave 1 more goal away to the opposition. Extremely proud of the boys today against a top quality side".

Boro Rangers United Vs. Darlington FC Quakers

Goalscorers: JN9 & IT8

Team Coach Lee Childs said; "

Goalscorers: JN9 & IT8

Team Coach Lee Childs said "Excellent performance today from all of the boys with a threadbare squad. Darlington dominated the first half, hitting the Woodwork 4 times but we came in at half time level. At half time our regular gk CR1 tried to play carrying a knock but was unable to stay on. So JB6 stepped back in goal for the remainder of the half. Darlington continued to dominate and found the breakthrough from JN9 with 10 minutes to go. IT8 made it 2-0 to finish off the game after a great ball from stand in gk JB6. Great result with only 7 fit players today".

TJFA Boys U11 White Division:

Boro Rangers City FC Vs. Darlington FC Quakers

Goalscorers: EB & LN

POTM: LN

Team Coach Scott Mallen said; "The team were looking to take last weeks good performance into todays game. However, with a couple of changes in the team, Darlington found themselves going 1- 0 down after just 3 minutes. The Darlington defender got caught heading the ball in the box, this lead to an indirect free kick, the players tried to close the ball down but the ball found it's way into the back of the net. 15 mins played in the first half, a brilliant solo run by a Darlington player and a strike that was saved from the Boro keeper seen the ball fall to another Darlington player who slotted it into the roof of the net to equalise. With the score been brought back level, the Darlington players immediately found themselves out of shape, and Boro were straight on the attack which seen them score there second. A few minutes before the half time whistle, Boro score there third goal after some great passage of football. With the second half under way, Boro continued to press immediately after the kick off which seen them score there fourth goal, from a tap in. Ten minutes played in the second half, Darlington were on the counter, again with some brilliant football played before an excellent individual run and finish by the Darlington winger. Boro Rangers added a fifth goal late into the game to confirm victory".

TJFA Boys U16 Division Three:

Darlington FC 8-0 Normanby United

Goalscorers: Lennon Harland (2), Luca Smith (3), Reuben Scotter (2) & Matty Lenton

POTM: Troy Hollow

Team Coach Dan Hook said; "Darlington came into this game following a morale boosting last minute winner in their previous match to face a Normanby side sitting top of the table. The opportunity to play on the astroturf was welcomed by the home side and they used its size and surface to their advantage from the start.
Normanby couldn’t cope with the home sides intelligent movement, speed of thought and ruthless edge as Darlington carved them open with a dominating performance that was fully deserving of the hefty scoreline, and in truth, it could have been a lot more.

The first goal set the tone after 10 minutes with a superb diagonal pass from captain Dylan Robson that saw Lennon Harland beautifully bring the ball down in stride with a touch and finish that wouldn’t look out of place in Qatar this week.
From here, the home side showed a confidence and swagger in their play that had been missing for a couple of weeks, but they made up for that today going in 5-0 at HT.

The second half was more disjointed with the frustrated away side resorting to fouls to try and disrupt the Darlington flow, it didn’t really work.
Despite these tactics, Darlo delivered 3 more goals to wrap up a simply stunning performance. Everything came together today and the win sees us move joint top of the table with games in hand".

TJFA Boys U17 League Cup:

Billingham United FC 0-7 Darlington FC

Goalscorers: Maciej Nuprezczyk, Luke Wade, Harry Hodgson (2), Liam Murray (2) & Raphael Oppong

POTM: Luke Wade & Owen Harvey

Team Coach Grant Cuthbertson said; "The lads didn't play to their full potential today, as they didn't move the ball around as fast as we know they can and decision making could have been a lot better. Despite this, out of possession, the lads pressed well and in the right places and came out deserving 7-0 winners. It could of been a whole lot more if it wasn’t for their keeper and some soft shooting in front of goal".
