The team was without Zach Judson in the goal, missing his first game since signing for the club. Ewan Irvine filled the gap between the sticks.

The first half saw Darlington control the play, with a lot of the play coming in the Plains Farm half. Logan Williams scored the first of the game, moving into double figures with only three games played. A great total for the young attacker.

A second goal was scored by the Quakers before the end of the half, Lewis Coleman scoring his second of the season with a tap in at the back post.

Plains Farm came more into the game, and they scored a couple of goals themselves.

The second half allowed Darlington to crank up a gear or two. Returning to the side, Harry Lambert scored yet another hat trick for the club, as well as Logan Williams. The pair taking their combined goal tally to more than 60 goals between them. A Lambert-Williams combination again showing great class.

As the game became cagey and Plains Farm scored some goals themselves, Lewis Coleman began to dig in and win some very important tackles in the centre of midfield. A great run of form from the young man. During the final moments of the second half he managed to score his second of the day, with a brilliant volley into the top corner from distance.

Overall yet another impressive day at the office for the under 8s, and one that can only promote the quality and spirit the team have created in such a small space of time.

Man of the match went to Lewis Coleman, back to back awards.

Onto next week, we go again.
