The Under8s played well against Whitburn and Cleadon despite the bad weather!

Yet again, the game started extremely fast in the favour of the Quakers, with the goals coming thick and fast at both ends. Logan Williams dominated the first half playing in a striker role, for the first time this season. The young goal scorer moved into the striker role from a much more familiar role on the wing, and impressed getting in amongst the goals.

Harry Lambert added to his impressive seasons total with another couple of goals, scoring the first goal of the game. His second was awarded to him by the dubious goal panel, after a big deflection beat the Whitburn goalkeeper.

Goalkeeper Zach Judson had positive game between the sticks, continuing from his back to back clean sheets in the last two weeks. Zach was unfortunate to pick up an injury, with the ball running through to him he was involved in a 50/50 challenge in which he won the ball but collided with the Whitburn striker. He was bravely forced off with a shoulder injury, to be replaced by vice captain Charlie Cole.

Before Charlie stepped between the sticks, he produced the performance of the day, and his performance of the season. The exciting midfielder helped himself to 5 goals, before replacing injured Zach in goal. Charlie throughout the season has been an unsung hero at times, and hasn't had the glory he has deserved. The game showed how impressive the young man is, and the ability he has to offer.
