Darlo Fans Radio passes 250,000 listeners

Landmark passed last Saturday against Ashton

Darlo Fans radio passed a big landmark during Saturday’s home game against Ashton United when it passed 250,000 listeners.

DFR started in the EvoStik League First Division North season at New Mills five years ago, and some of their commentaries have passed into club folklore during that time – many listeners will remember the David Dowson goal against Spennymoor in the play off semi final, the night of the EvoStik League title win at Whitby and the first home game at Blackwell Meadows against Halifax.

Andrew Simpson, Michael Price, Michael Cansfield and Stuart Armstrong are DFR’s regular commentators, and they deserve everyone’s thanks for the hard work that they have put in during that time, not just on their commentaries, but also with their podcasts.

We would like to like to congratulate everyone involved for such an achievement.

Darlo Fans radio will be broadcasting as usual from Bootham Crescent for the York v Darlington game on New Year’s Day.
