There was a great turnout at the Academy ID talent day on Tuesday!

Over twenty youngsters enrolled for our Academy day, to give them a taster of what to expect should they enrol on our BTEC course in August this year.

Academy head coach Alan White said; “It was a good day, with 22 lads coming along on Tuesday, with another three or four unable to attend. All have got a real interest and are seriously thinking of applying for next season.”

The day consisted of a Powerpoint introduction by SCL lecturer Mark Spencer, then a morning training session lasting 75 minutes.

After lunch and refreshments,  there was an 11 v 11 game in the afternoon.

“There were some really good, promising lads,” said Whitey.
